This man could go to Washington with John McCain.
UPDATE: Full Radio Free Mike coverage of the intelligent design nonsense is over here.
UPDATE 2: Also, pretending Obama isn’t a Christian (because he’s not a fundamentalist) doesn’t seem to work. I’m always skeptical when people say Americans are stupid.

typical weasely politician… oh he was a biology major in college! he must be a friggin’ genius then! in twenty years time the US will be a vast landscape of ignorance, poverty and violence. perfect for kids!

— Mike Jun 28, 01:03 pm #“Facts=theories” is the dumbest dumbdown I have ever heard in this argument. I swear, it makes me think all the people that made him GOV are idiots (I know they’re not, of course). This is one of the ticky tackiest arguments in history when it comes to this topic. You teach facts and theories when you get get the baseline of fact…it’s simple. I have no problem with various theories, but you have to say that 1000 years of science pretty much has some fact. My new favorite was reading this weekend about the end of the world is coming when the atom splitter fires up…my thought? How cool would that be? Not about the end of the world, but because of how much science could be proven…even if we are all dead. (I’m kidding, of course…well, a little).

Just read your article about your venture to UCSD: I saw Gish once, when he “debated” with one of my Geology profs in grad school. Gish committed every fallacy ever described in a philosophy/critical thinking 101 class.
And I cannot see, whatever they claim, that IDers are truly different from Creationists, despite that they are not “short-earthers” – the goal is the same, to foist a specific religious curriculum onto school children and therefor the U.S. citizenry.
