    If Juaqin Phoenix is trying to pull Andy Kaufman-esque stunts by goofing on people, he has a lot to learn. I think if I remember it right, this was part of the way Kaufman auditioned for his part in Taxi by doing the dating game.

    Finally, watching the Latka rift, I was curious to wonder if the Steve Martin soliquey in “The Jerk” (“I just need this lamp…”) came before or after that episode. They are so similiar it’s pretty amazing. (“And my dog, I just need this lamp and my dog…”).
