A Seat at the Council

This is what it looks like when you sit in Brussels at the EU council as a lower-level minister from Germany, say of agriculture or something. Note, please, the Cold-War-era ashtray set into the desk and the more modern no-smoking sign beside it. I can’t think of a better parody of the EU.
